LOT 32 TYPE I JACKET 14oz ORGANIC COTTON WHITE SELVEDGE

Size XS S M L XL
Qty:

The original Type I Trucker jacket.

This jacket style was first produced in 1905 a Blouson style denim jacket, the early renditions with a single pocket and no flap, pleat front and cinch for adjusting the fit on the back.

This original style trucker jacket was worn by many of the movie stars including Gary Cooper, Bing Crosby, and Robert Mitchum and our personal favourite Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones in 1973.

Production of this jacket stopped around 1953 when the Type II was introduced.

The Dawson Type I Trucker is produced in a period correct white line selvedge woven with organic cotton and planted dyed indigo, a repro of a 1940’s denim. No flap and the addition of our classic workwear cuff. The cinch on the back is a diamond to mirror our wide leg jeans.

Made in strictly limited numbers in our workshop in Brighton and Hove on traditional mid-century induction sewing machines.
